A decent budget choice right in the city center, with an excellent location and polite staff. The rooms are dated and very basic, though, and the AC was noisy. The linen didn’t feel very fresh either. It could work for a solo traveler watching their budget, but probably won’t suit families wanting comfort.

We booked a family stay through Amazon for April 26. There are five of us, including children aged 11, 9, and 7. As soon as we entered, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes and didn’t feel suitable for our family. We waited there until around 2 pm while trying to sort it out, then left and went to Hyatt Regency Thrissur, where we had a nice night in a family suite. I explained the problem clearly to Amazon customer care, and they emailed the property asking to cancel because of the room condition. The hotel didn’t approve it, and we lost ₹8,000. They later gave reasons about us supposedly asking for a free room for a driver and an extra room, but that wasn’t the issue. My husband is a CEO of an IT company and I’m a professor, but that doesn’t change that this felt unfair. Amazon customer care called me today about the stay. Very disappointing experience.

Sumesh was attentive with the food, Ravi kept things running smoothly, and Chef Anshad made everything taste great. The food was delicious and well prepared, and the drinks were refreshing. I also had a good stay, with prompt room service and quick help from the front desk. Vishnu at reception was polite, professional, and helpful with check-in and questions. The staff kept the room clean and handled requests quickly. Great hospitality, and I’d recommend the place for a comfortable stay.

The rooms were big, neat, and spacious, and the food was decent. But when we arrived for a late check-in at 1:30 PM, our two rooms weren’t ready, so we waited almost an hour. I’m still not sure that was justified by the rooms. The AC seemed either poorly serviced or too weak for such a large room. There’s no elevator. That didn’t bother me since it’s only one floor, but it’s something to keep in mind with heavy bags or elderly guests. We couldn’t get an extra pillow because housekeeping had left for the day, and nobody seemed to know where the pillows were. Strange.
