Hotel Femina

The room was okay, but the rude, unhelpful reception staff made my stay unpleasant and overshadowed everything else. I paid almost 84000k for 8 rooms, but they didn't provide wifi, saying it wasn't working. I strongly recommend not booking here.

The hotel was in very poor condition, with foul smells in the rooms and corridors, leaking faucets, showers that didn't work, dirty sheets and towels, and badly maintained washrooms. There was only a night manager and a security/bell boy on duty. The night manager, receptionist, and security staff were extremely rude. After a lot of arguing and police involvement, the manager refunded the money from his own pocket. But at 3 AM, after an exhausting 8-hour journey, we were left without a room and couldn't find another nearby. Another couple with a small child also checked out immediately because of hygiene concerns. We had paid in advance through MakeMyTrip for two Superior Double Occupancy rooms for 25th–27th December. An unexpected delay in our Tirupati darshan meant we could reach Trichy only on 26th December. I tried more than 30 times to tell the hotel about the late check-in, but nobody answered. The MakeMyTrip team also couldn't reach them despite several attempts and emails. On 26th December, while returning, I called another 40-50 times and got no response. Reaching MakeMyTrip customer care was just as difficult. When we finally arrived at Hotel Femina, Trichy around 2 AM, our paid rooms had been given to other guests. The staff had no clear explanation. Another couple who had booked through Agoda had the same problem. Both couples were asked to wait 30 minutes in the middle of the night, then given a small single-bed room with an extra mattress on the floor. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. The property may have been a premium hotel in Trichy years ago, but it's now badly maintained. The pictures on MakeMyTrip or Agoda may be around 10 years old and misleading. MakeMyTrip has not followed up with me after I raised the issue. I still wonder why our paid rooms weren't available, why we got a lower category, and what MakeMyTrip's responsibility was beyond informing the hotel. Think twice before booking.

We've stayed at this hotel regularly for six years, but this visit was disappointing. The lift wasn't working, and the AC in the rooms didn't cool. Breakfast was poorly arranged too, with most items unavailable by 8:30.

The rooms we were promised weren't provided, and there was no water in the room. The toilets in the “super delux” room didn't match the picture. Staff acted as if they cared, but the guest handling was the worst. At night, the restaurant is practically nonfunctional. There are plenty of other places to eat within walking distance.
