Kapila Theertham is nearby, and there are several vegetarian restaurants around, which made the location handy. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had the basic amenities, and the management responded when needed. The hotel does look a little old, though. At ₹1,500 a day, I felt it was somewhat pricey for what was provided. Still, I had a good stay.

Traveling with two infants made the cleanliness problems especially upsetting. We found cockroaches, cobwebs, and lots of hair and dust under the bed within an hour of checking in. The toilet was unhygienic, there was no dustbin, and the floor hadn't been cleaned properly. The building is very old, and the sofa and bed padding looked dirty and possibly fungus-infected, which made them uncomfortable and concerning. Since we noticed all this after an hour, we couldn't cancel or change the booking and lost the money. We booked through Ixigo. I wouldn't recommend staying here, especially for families, unless they make major improvements to basic hygiene.

For ₹1,500, these rooms were in a pathetic state. We booked three standard double rooms from Saturday to Sunday and found cockroaches and mites in them. One AC wasn't working, another room had a broken fan, and the third had no regulator to change the fan speed. They fixed the AC and moved us from one room, but in the other we had to use a cloth to adjust the fan. There was no water heater. Reception said hot water would be provided, but it was only lukewarm. We also got no toiletries, and one cot had a hole in it. Plug points were broken, and the beds were awful flat ones. The photos fooled us. Our rooms were on the fourth floor, and the lift stopped working Sunday morning, so we had to climb all the way up after walking up the Tirumala hill. At checkout we carried our luggage down the stairs with the kids. No heater, properly working AC, or proper fan. Definitely not recommended.

I was really fed up with the service. Although I had prepaid for a standard AC room, they gave me a different room that was much worse. The hall chairs were soiled, the bedsheets and blankets were torn, and the bathroom was filthy with mold on the tap fittings. They didn't provide the complimentary towels, soap, or water bottles. I had to call and ask, and they brought two torn towels. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to anyone.
