The communal meals were thoughtfully made and served, and they gave the stay a lovely sense of connection. Since the property is small, it was easy to end up in long conversations with other travelers and the staff. Everyone working there was friendly and accommodating. We spent two nights at Devra Udaipur while traveling as a family, and it was a wonderful experience. The owner couple welcomed us warmly and shared stories; the husband spoke proudly about building the homestead himself, and that personal care shows throughout. The owners came across as honorable and genuine. The peaceful setting has a quiet, spiritual feeling, with scenic views, while still being close enough to the city for convenience. Modern amenities give it a more high-end feel without taking away its warmth and character. It felt like a calm retreat, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for personal, heartfelt hospitality in Udaipur.

The sunrise and sunset views from this hilltop property are breathtaking. Inside, antique furniture and artefacts give it a heritage feel, and there are plenty of places to sit outside. The owners live on the grounds and are real hosts. The staff are polite and always smiling. There are eight large, nicely done-up rooms with attached toilets, arranged in three clusters reached by stairs and decorated with flora and fauna. The menu can be tailored to guests' needs. There's a pool, a good selection of books, and enough indoor games for guests on a longer stay. Power backup is good and the water pressure is fine too. Strongly recommended for short or long visits, including a family long weekend.

Our first time at Devra, the luxury HOMESTAY, and we felt it was worth the price. Fresh air, a green field right in front, home-grown vegetables, and an open-sky terrace made the holiday feel so relaxing. The rooms were big, the food was fresh and good, and the service was good too. THANK YOU TEAM DEVRA 🙏

It's hard not to unwind here. We had a delicious breakfast on the porch with the lake in view and birds chirping, and the terrace is lovely at sunset. The home is furnished with local and historic pieces, and the views over the lake are beautiful. The family and staff are just as lovely and welcoming. A beautiful, unusual homestay that's well worth experiencing.
