Dreamyard Udaipur - Hostel

I went around 8 AM and found the location decent, but the service average and the place unclean. The ambience was a letdown. I asked for an early check-in and was told to wait until 12 PM. While waiting, I went up to the terrace. Cigarette butts were all over the tables, and there was a really bad, almost drain-like smell despite it being open. I cancelled at the last minute, then called customer care and got a refund, which I appreciated. I also feel they mostly prefer selling rooms to foreigners at higher prices. The Google reviews seem intentionally inflated to attract more bookings. In my view, this doesn't deserve a 4.8/5 rating. I'd give the location 3 stars, ambience 2.5 stars, and service 3 stars. They mostly charge more than ₹2000 even for a dormitory, which doesn't match what's offered. I think it should be around ₹500-₹700, since it's not worth more than ₹700. Anyway, thank you for your time.

We booked Dreamyard Udaipur after a friend recommended it, and we're so glad we took his advice. The rooftop has a lovely lake view and a great vibe, and both the rooms and towels were clean. Everyone on staff was relaxed, friendly, and respectful. Don't miss the sunrise tour while you're here. Thanks for having us!

The sunset view from the rooftop is beautiful and well worth watching, and I loved the lake view from my room too. Waris was especially helpful, and he's a talented photographer. The whole staff and everyone here were wonderful. I had an amazing stay and highly recommend it.

I met some lovely women and travelers here, and strangers quickly became friends. We shared stories, laughs, and quiet moments that made ordinary days into memories I'll carry with me. Thank you to Shikar, Wajib, Warish, and the whole team for being so welcoming. Warish brings great energy, and talking with him is easy and fun. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and comfortable from the start. The rooms were cozy and clean, the place had a calm, positive feel, and the rooftop sunsets were magical. Everything is within walking distance, and the sunrise motorbike experience with Sahil made it even more enjoyable. Dreamyard Udaipur felt like home. I'll leave with wonderful memories and friendships, and would come back in a heartbeat. A lovely place for solo travelers.
