Khudala House Homestay

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were quick and polite. We had a warm, pleasant stay at Khudala House, with a welcoming host and a homely, tasty breakfast prepared by the staff. I’d go back if I needed a stay there again. One drawback: it doesn’t have a lake view. The carpets could also be maintained better.

There’s room for everyone to have privacy here, which makes it a good fit for larger groups. It has a small green space, outdoor seating, a living area, 4 bedrooms, a courtyard, and a dining space. The rooms were a good size, with attached toilets and dressing rooms. Guests are allotted the ground floor, while the owner lives upstairs on the first floor. It’s a little expensive, but worth it for a larger group. Keep in mind this isn’t the place if you’re looking for lake views.

The garden, with mango trees, flowering plants, and creepers, added a lovely, peaceful feel to our stay. The spacious, clean rooms were restful, and the heritage house dates from before independence. It’s in a prime area, with easy access to the lake, old city, and several major tourist spots. Fatehsagar Lake is only a 2-minute walk away. Our host, Mr. Dhananjay, was warm and prompt, and shared useful local insights that made exploring the city feel authentic and personal. We also enjoyed the chic colonial restaurant, 1559 AD, located on the property. Visit for a distinctive, immersive stay in Udaipur.

Right on the main road and in front of Lake Fateh Sagar, this quiet heritage property is in a lovely spot. The rooms are large, the price is reasonable, and the staff are polite and quick to help. The on-site restaurant is 1559AD. Overall, I had a good stay.
