Young Monk Udaipur Jaydurg Haveli Hostel

Traveling with five friends for a week, we found Young Monk Hostel much better than we'd expected. The hostel felt lively but never chaotic, with clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a safe atmosphere. It really suited Udaipur's vibe. The lake is right beside it, and the rooftop view is beautiful. Sunset there each evening, with music, conversation, and the lake in view, was peaceful and memorable. The nightly rooftop jamming sessions were a highlight too. We met travelers from different cities and countries and ended up chatting for hours, making those evenings some of our favorite memories. Pooja from the team made booking and the stay hassle-free, coordinating rooms, handling little requests, and checking that we were comfortable. I'd recommend Young Monk Hostel to anyone visiting, especially with friends or if you want a social stay and to meet people. I'd love to return.

There was no parking, and we saw only about two staff members and one kitchen helper trying to manage everything. Breakfast was very limited the next morning, just aloo paratha and eggs. We'd booked a lake-view room, which was neat and clean, but water leaked from the AC when we switched it on. The front desk said that's how it works, which wasn't acceptable. At around ₹2750 for one day with breakfast, the stay wasn't worth the price, and I wouldn't recommend Young Monk Hostel based on this experience.

Everything at Young Monk felt like home, and I left feeling comfortable, relaxed, and happy. The evenings were especially lovely, with a peaceful, vacation-like atmosphere and a nice vibe from the other guests. The staff were polite, helpful, and provided excellent service. Our lake-view room was beautiful, especially the balcony, where sitting and looking out over the lake made my evenings special. The food was fresh and very tasty. Highly recommended for a visit to Udaipur.

The staff took great care of us, were polite and friendly, and always made sure we were comfortable. We also really enjoyed the fresh, well-prepared meals. The best part, though, was waking up to the lake and peaceful surroundings each morning. The balcony scenery was stunning and made the hostel stay feel special. A wonderful experience, and we'd happily visit again and recommend the place.
