The hotel is a short walk from the temple, less than five minutes, and staying here turned out to be a great decision. The rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable and properly maintained, and the staff were genuinely helpful and well behaved. There’s no lift, but the staff will handle your luggage so you don’t have to carry it yourself. The lane leading to the hotel is narrow, so you can’t park your own vehicle there. Paid parking lots are available nearby, though they cost a little.

There are better hotels in the same area for this price. The rooms are small, and with rooms on the second and third floors and no lift, you’ll have to climb at least 20-30 stairs each time. It’s also in a narrow lane where vehicles aren’t allowed, which makes getting there difficult.

For darshan, especially early in the morning, it was very convenient to stay so close to Mahakaleshwar Temple. Hotel Mahakal Kripa is well located, and the atmosphere was peaceful and everything well organized. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The staff and manager were extremely nice, polite and helpful throughout. It felt like a comfortable and safe place to stay in Ujjain, and I’d highly recommend it.

I really liked this hotel. The room was really nice, clean and modern, and everything was perfect. Mahakal Mandir is so close, just around 2-3 minutes away.
