I booked after seeing the good rating on the OYO app, but the stay had too many problems. The room lost power for over two hours, and staff took a long time to respond even after repeated calls for room service. The geyser was switched off because they control it automatically, and they were slow to deal with that too. Even the restaurant lacked handwash, so we had to go outside to find some. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

For the high nightly price, the rooms and service were far below par. The bathrooms weren't clean, the ACs didn't work properly, and they wouldn't provide RO drinking water. Staff were very rude, and there were no basic services. The hotel is 1.5 km from the main jyotirlinga temple. Better deals are available at other hotels much closer to the temple. This was an awful stay.

The staff were cooperative, and the hotel looks good, but the room needed better upkeep. The toilet wasn't clean enough, the bathroom taps weren't working right, and the quilt cover was dirty and hadn't been changed. The room and bathroom Venetian blinds couldn't be used, and the dustbins weren't good either.

At reception I found a printed notice saying they wouldn't honour bookings paid for online. You only learn that after you arrive, so don't pay online when booking. I sent the reservation details to escalations@oyorooms as requested in their email reply, but it's been 15 days without any response.

I booked eight rooms for one night, from 25.07.2021 to 26.07.2021, under the name Hotel Mahakaleshwar Avenue. The property is actually known as 'Yatri Niwas'. It did not provide the facilities listed on the booking slip, including breakfast and coffee machines, and the rooms were in very bad condition. OYO/Booking.com charged about double the property's normal rates. The staff behaved poorly too. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
