Kabir Hotel & Spa

The pool was clean and my son enjoyed it, and the breakfast room staff were attentive, which helped make the experience better. But we won’t stay here again. Our friends booked the hotel, and from the first day there were small problems. We arrived after 2pm even though check-in was at 12pm, and the room still wasn’t ready. There were mosquitoes all over the room, including so many in the bathroom. Cleanliness wasn’t good, and the towels looked very used and discolored. In the morning, the shower was only lukewarm. The front desk sent someone after I complained, and he told us to run the water for five minutes, but my husband, son, and I all showered quickly and it still wasn’t hot. Our friends had the same hot-water problem. The front desk also needs friendlier staff who speak English. We didn’t have a terrible experience exactly, but it wasn’t up to our standards as NRIs.

The restaurant’s unlimited buffet had a great menu with lots of different cuisines, and the café was also good and worth a visit. Malls and a medical store are very close since the property is on the main road. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the palm trees with fresh dates were a nice touch. Breakfast choices were limited, though. In the evening there were too many creatures by the pool, and the changing rooms had lizards, insects, and even a chameleon.

We had a lovely Diwali celebration here. The food was great, and the service even better. Staff made us feel at home, and the peaceful, beautiful ambiance was lovely. A hidden gem that deserves more recognition. Don’t let the bad reviews put you off.

Service was uneven: some staff were polite and helpful, while others were less attentive. The room was missing basics like a dental kit and comb, and I had some problems with the water quality. Better maintenance and more consistent service could make this a great choice. It works for a short, quiet getaway, but has its flaws.
