Dinner has to be ordered by 2 p.m., which is a real inconvenience, and the food choices and service are limited. The rooms themselves are roomy, clean, and looked after, with lovely views from a decent location. Getting there by bus or a large vehicle is difficult, so a car or jeep is a better option. I wouldn't pick it for a family with kids, but it works for bachelors or an office trip.

We came with our two young kids and had a really lovely stay at Heaven Valley Resort in Vagamon, Idukki. The owner was friendly, and the staff spoke Hindi and took care of everything so the visit felt easy and stress-free. Breakfast was a highlight: good Kerala-style Puttu and Kadala curry, plus omelets, bread, juice, coffee, and cornflakes. It's handy for getting to Vagamon's attractions and seems well suited to a short family break. Just remember to order dinner before 4 PM.

The tea gardens and hills around the resort made for such a beautiful view, and the cottage was neat and clean too. We were six in the family and booked both the upstairs and downstairs cottage. The place matched what we hoped for, and the staff were very friendly, especially Mr. Ajesh resort incharge. Breakfast tasted great. Our Vagamon trip and stay will stay in our minds as a colourful rewind.

We brought our pet along for a night with the family, and the room was comfortable for all of us, clean and nicely arranged. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. There’s a play area above the buffet hall, and we had fun trying the pool billiards there. The relaxed atmosphere was lovely, and the resort was affordable too, good value for a pleasant little getaway.

Ajesh, the manager, was especially welcoming and attentive, and the rest of the staff made sure we were comfortable. The food was delicious, with breakfast standing out. Heaven Valley Resorts also has a quiet, private feel that made it easy to relax. The roads to the property are in good shape and the location is convenient. A great family getaway.
