A morning walk through the tea plantation to the viewpoint and the campfire on site really made the stay for me. The atmosphere was peaceful, just right for relaxing and feeling refreshed. Staff were very friendly, and the food was high quality. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a calm place to unwind.

A real treat is seeing wildlife, including barking deer, so close to the building. In the evening you can climb to the hilltop and look down at Vandiperiyar and the Periyar river in the deep valleys. It's cool and refreshing up there, and you can have a campfire at the top before walking back down at night. The estate bungalow has a lovely atmosphere, nice rooms, and tasty food. There's a grill for meat and a big courtyard for evening get-togethers, so it works quite well for large groups.

We were a family group of 14, and the quiet, private setting worked very well for our getaway. The house has old-fashioned charm, with stone walls outside. Each room has an attached bathroom and its own water heater. One heater wasn't working while we were there, but the owner knew about it and said it would be fixed. Some cupboards also need maintenance soon, which the owner has confirmed is planned. Service was a strong point. The chef and helpers were excellent and supportive throughout, and since they live on the property outside the main building, it was easy to coordinate with them. The Kerala-style meals were tasty and homely, and we could order ahead based on what we wanted. Breakfast came with the package, while lunch and dinner cost extra. Food is a little expensive compared with outside options, so check prices with the owner beforehand. A great location and stay for large families wanting peace, privacy, and a traditional feel. Highly recommended.

The rooms and bathrooms were neat and felt safe. The food was tasty and hygienic, and the boys were attentive, doing whatever our group asked. The owner was kind, answered all our calls, and spoke politely. We had a lot of fun on the safari, and the ambience was lovely. A must visit, and we'll come again next time.
