The stairs were the biggest drawback, and there's no lift if you book a double bed room. The bathrooms are small but well kept, though water came out into the room while I was bathing. I mentioned it to the owners. The rooms also have no ventilation, so I left the door open much of the time to let some sun in. The rooms themselves are simple, basic, and clean, with neat linen. There's no food apart from tea if you ask, but several places to eat are within 1 km. If you want to stay by the ghats and Ganga maa, this is a good spot. Many ghats are only a few metres away, and you can see the Ganges from the entrance and rooftop. The roof was fenced to keep monkeys out. Boats for rent are nearby, and the place gives you a feel for Old Kashi.

The service at Buddha Guest House was amazing, and it's a fantastic place to stay in Varanasi. Be sure to book here if you're coming to the city. Har Har Mahadev 🔱 ♥️

The location is the one good thing, since it's near the ghat. Otherwise, the experience was very bad. The rooms are cramped, the AC doesn't work properly, and the place looks very different in reality from what Google shows. They don't have an in-house kitchen, despite saying they do. The washrooms are so tiny that one person can barely fit. We had to keep contacting them about the geyser, and they didn't even provide coffee. A single cup cost 90 rupees and didn't taste good.

The rooftop was just awesome, and the guest house is in a ten-out-of-ten location. Aunty was very familiar and friendly in her behaviour. We had a really good experience.

Chausatti ghat starts right at the guest house's doorstep, which is the best part. It's a small, narrow three-storey building with one dormitory containing six beds and no ventilation, available for 400 rupees. A few double rooms are on the second and third floors, with AC and geysers. There's no restaurant, but home-cooked food may be available if you order in advance.
