The place was clean and the bed was good, but that was about all I can praise. Hot water didn’t work, and Wi-Fi wouldn’t reach my first-floor room, which had no window. I’d asked for dinner at 8 pm, then it arrived at 9:30 with no warning. They brought water when I arrived without asking and charged me for it. For some reason, the outlets stop working after midnight, so I couldn’t charge my phone. At 5 am checkout, they started asking me for money even though I’d paid everything the day before, and I had to wait while they checked. Then they called insisting I’d kept the key, which I’d left on the counter. They eventually found it. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

We found the room clean and the staff cooperative. Ganga Darshan Hotel’s location is its strongest point. Apart from that, it’s an above average guest house that covers a pilgrim’s basic needs. If you expect star level hospitality here, I’d say the places in this area are all much the same.

The tea and coffee were ultimate, and the staff gave excellent service. It’s also conveniently located near Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Bapi and Bablu were excellent at looking after all our needs. The staff were very good, and the food was awesome. Khokon Das, the main cook, is especially expert at Indian dishes. A very nice hotel to stay in.
