During Dev Deepawali 2025, I paid ₹4000 for a small Non-AC room, which felt unbelievably expensive for the festival season. There was no window or balcony, and nothing was complimentary, not even a bottle of water. The hotel has no elevator. Still, the washroom was clean, the rooms were decent, and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. There’s a common washroom on every floor as well as attached ones. The location is excellent, inside Bengali Tola Gali and just a 2-minute walk from Dashashwamedh Ghat. You can see the Ganga from the rooftop, but not the Ganga Aarti because buildings block the view.

The receptionist was a nice woman with a polite manner. Rooms are good and reasonably priced. I’d suggest a top-floor room with a window. You can see part of the Ganga river from up there, but not the whole river. I planned to stay one day, enjoyed it once I arrived, and decided to make it two.

The terrace view of Ganga Aarti is blocked by buildings in front, and there’s no elevator despite the hotel having four floors and steep stairs. We visited during Dev Deepawali, when Varanasi was packed with devotees and tourists, and paid Rs.4000/- for a Non-AC standard room with no ventilation at all. The hotel is deep inside Bengali Tola lane, but only a stone’s throw from Dashashwamedha ghat. It’s a decent place to stay in Varanasi if you can negotiate the price. Recommended. ☺️
