The lack of privacy made this a horrible stay at raj palace hotel varkala. My girlfriend and I had taken a room for one day when a woman knocked and brought some foreign guests in to show them our room for another booking. She didn't seem to care about our privacy at all. Please don't stay there, privacy matters.

We had a wonderful week at Raj Palace (Royal Acropolis). It was easy to spend the days wandering the neighborhood, stopping for coffee and fresh seafood at local cafes. The setting is beautiful, right by a cliff and only a few steps from the beach. Our host was a big help with finding our way around Varkala, and parking was easy too. My family and I would happily recommend it for a relaxing holiday.

The manager was on hand around the clock if anything was needed, and the customer service was probably the best I've had in India by western standards. The room was modest but had a nice feel, with a little seating area. It's centrally located, just a minute from the cliff and main street.

I’d recommend this place to friends heading to Varkala. The host was great, bringing fresh papayas from the tree and pointing me to lots of good food around town. When I needed a plate or knife, it was brought right away. The room was clean and nice, with a proper porch and lots of plants out front. It’s close to the beach and cliff restaurants. Thanks for the lovely memories!

The owner was kind and genuine, and really looked after us. He arranged a bike rental and other facilities, then guided us to sports activities and nearby tourist spots. The room was comfortable and the cliff was an easy walk away. We accidentally left our ID behind, but after we contacted him, he sent it by courier. He also took us to the railway station at the last minute when the cabs were busy. Thank you for all the help, and special thanks to vinith bro.
