The Hostel Stories Varkala

The hostel was clean, felt safe for someone travelling alone, and was close to the cliff and beach. Staff were helpful, and the friendly atmosphere made it easy to connect with people. I spent my first solo birthday trip at Hostel Stories, Varkala, and they even celebrated with me on the beach. I'll always treasure that memory. Highly recommend it for solo travellers looking for good vibes and meaningful experiences.

I was able to work peacefully in the comfortable, lively common area, and it was easy to meet other travellers and make friends. My workation at The Hostel Stories in Varkala became one of my best travel experiences, thanks in large part to the warm atmosphere. Raman and Pintu were wonderful hosts who made everyone feel at home and went out of their way to help us have a great time. I'd also stayed at their Bir Billing branch, which had the same great energy and hospitality. Highly recommend it for a memorable stay.

Leaving was hard, and I already miss Kriti and Raman and the atmosphere they've created. I'd come back in a heartbeat. The rooms were clean and the facilities were good, but it was the people, energy, and way they treated me like family that made the place special. I wish I could have stayed longer. The non-AC room suited me perfectly, and the bunk had a privacy curtain. The bathroom and sheets were clean, and my roommates were respectful. Nothing fancy, but it covered everything I needed. The hostel's owner is a kind, passionate, well-travelled backpacker who understands travellers' needs and how important a warm welcome is. The place draws people looking for adventure and meaningful connections, and it really lives up to its name. Highly recommend!
