Cybele Hill Resort

One of my favorite parts was watching the sunrise from right in front of the cottage. The location was excellent, and the food was tasty, with a homely style. Mr Mathew, the owner, was friendly and kind. Driver Prashant and Manager Shindo looked after the guests very well, and Anith took us to a nearby trekking spot and explained the place.

You can spend the evening up at the hilltop, order food, and enjoy the surroundings. There was a DJ, a campfire, and tasty food, and we enjoyed the night without any disturbance. Get there later in the day after you’ve finished the sightseeing, then do a short trek in the morning to catch the sunrise. If you can’t take your own vehicle all the way, park at the Cybele office and ride their jeep to the top. It’s a fun 3 km trip, and the jeep driver was extraordinary.

It’s a peaceful, refreshing escape from the busy city, with a short trekking spot on the property if you want a nature walk. Sunrise and sunset from the top are especially lovely, and the view is superb. The resort sits on a mountain and feels like one of Kerala’s highest peak resorts. Cybele Hill Resort is tucked into the hills of Muttil, with sweeping views. On a clear day, you can see parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, as well as Karapuzha Dam, Edakkal Caves, and the distant Nilgiri Hills. You can’t drive your own vehicle right to the resort. Guests park at the office point and the team takes them up by jeep. The 3 km off-road ride is an adventure in itself.

The hilltop scenery was breathtaking, and we had a brilliant time trekking. I went to Wayanad with friends, and the trip was memorable from start to finish. The management was organized, the hospitality was excellent, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed every moment.
