I arrived for a three-day booking and found out this wasn't a hotel anymore, but a ladies hostel. I had to arrange another place. I also had an argument with the security guard about it, and he spoke only Malyalam, which I couldn't understand as a tourist. Pathetic and atrocious.
This hotel had been closed for a year, and is now a ladies hostel, yet Agoda still has bookings available. It looks like someone is running a scam. I was harassed over the booking, though luckily the Agoda team helped me get a refund. Do not book it!
As far as I know, this isn't a hotel anymore. It's been turned into a hostel for employees at a nearby hospital in Meppadi. Please check before booking, for the love of God.
This would make a good base if you're planning to visit Chembra peak. The hotel has standard and delux rooms, and they're spacious and clean, with neat bathrooms. It's not a cozy place and has no luxuries, but it's good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant food is good for what you pay, among the decent food available in the area.
We only came for food, but the staff's hospitality was amazing. They were quick to ask what we needed and prepared the food accordingly. The menu was limited because of Ramazan days, but the meal was delicious and service super fast. The restaurant was clean and tidy. I'd like to try their hotel too.
