Banu Residency By OYO Rooms

The road outside was in bad shape, and I wouldn't recommend this place for families or couples. During my stay on 7th may, the owner and staff were rude. I had a corporate booking and asked if the Wi-Fi could be improved, but they shouted that they didn't promise anything and said I could cancel. They wouldn't allow early check-in, so I had to wait an hour even at 1 o'clock. Staff refused requests directly, and you couldn't question them. It felt like a dirty guest house, somewhere a Rickshaw wala could stay. Bachelors on a low budget might waste their money here.

I booked this place on 7th May and ended up waiting half an hour because they wouldn't allow early check-in. When I asked a simple question about whether the Wi-Fi worked, they said they couldn't guarantee it and that I could cancel. I've never seen such ill-mannered staff and an owner like this. They were even abusing their partner OYO for sending customers and acting as if the customer is king. I had to change hotels right then. The rooms and hotel had no quality, cheap in every way. I would never recommend this property.

I've been staying here for the last 4 days while in Vellore for an operation. Since I'm a patient, the hotel staff have paid extra attention to me. The owner is a very nice gentleman, and the manager has been good too. My family went back to Kolkata after the operation, but the staff have taken care of everything and feel like family. The rooms are big, clean, and have good beds. It's a new construction with every facility and warm hospitality, and the housekeeping staff are very good. They plan to start food service soon; until then, if you want to order something, they send their boys to bring it. It's a very nice place to stay, close to Cmc.

The staff were helpful and the place was kept clean, though it only has the most basic amenities. Saravanna Bhavan is within walking distance, so finding food wasn't a problem. The hotel is near a very busy area, which made getting there in evening traffic difficult. Hot water for bathing was available only from 6 to 9 in the morning. Bring your own towels, as they had been told to stop providing them under Covid restrictions, though they'd give one if you asked. Fine for a night's stay.
