I booked a classic AC room through OYO and had a terrible experience. The first room they showed me smelled awful, and I saw two classic AC rooms in total, both horrible. I don’t know what the other rooms are like. Dusty smelling rooms, spider webs on the ceiling, and a fungal smell in the room. The bed’s headboard was covered in fungus, and I could feel the springs through the specially made bed, so I couldn’t sleep. The AC had no remote, and I couldn’t set the temperature, so I turned it off. The bathroom window had no glass or privacy covering, leaving everything visible from nearby rooms. I wouldn’t stay here with family. Even after booking through OYO, I had to pay extra; they said the price had changed because of a glitch. An OYO representative had suggested this hotel, but I blame myself for arriving late and rushing to find a room. If you want an economical stay, try looking on trivago for better deals. You can find better hotels in Goa for Rs 1500.

For an affordable trip, this is a decent option. In September, it was around 1000 per day for two, and breakfast for two cost 300-350. It’s clean, has good facilities for the price compared with similar places, and sits in a convenient location with easy access to public transport. There’s an on-site dining place with good food, though it’s a bit costly. They don’t allow outside food, though they don’t check your bags, so it may not matter much. The pool wasn’t well maintained, perhaps because I visited during the rainy season.

The pool water was fresh, but several tiles were loose or missing, and the steps wobbled badly. They seemed dangerous to use getting in or out. The room service food wasn’t very good either. The rooms looked nothing like the photos. The walls and curtains were dirty, and the comforter and sheets were stained. In one room, the wooden support boards under the mattress were broken and smelled of alcohol, so we eventually had to change rooms. OYO usually provides a full toiletry kit with dental items and fresh towels, but here we were given only soap. We had to ask for towels, and they arrived at night. Disappointing stay.

The pool was nice, and there’s plenty of parking, but the rooms were only okay. We had to ask for the bathrooms to be cleaned after checking in. One room was missing a bucket, and the other had no mug. The location isn’t ideal since there’s no beach within walking distance, though it’s not far by bike.
