Fabhotel Raj Vihar Residency

No drinking water, a used and dirty towel, a shabby commode, and AC equipment in the room that didn't provide AC. Reception said there was only one service boy for the whole hotel, and despite asking repeatedly, they refused to help. Such a pathetic experience.

I paid 1,500 for a 24-hour stay in Dec-2024, and the hotel is about 10 minutes from the Vijayawada Temple. I stayed one day with family. It's a decent place with the amenities working: AC, TV, and solar geyser. There's no in-house restaurant, but Swiggy or Zomato can deliver to the room. Staff can provide plates and bowls, and can also bring tea in a hot flask or food to the room if you pay in advance.

The early check-in arrangement was promised twice before booking at Fabhotel Raj Vihar Residency in Vijayawada, along with complimentary breakfast. They said it would be at the booking price, but on arrival the manager refused early check-in and asked for 1000rs. The breakfast and early check-in never happened. Fab Hotels was no help. They later claimed on the call they'd told me there would be a 500rs extra charge, but I have a recording and they didn't mention that. The manager argued with me in Hindi for half an hour, then switched to Tamil or whatever language they use when Fab's service called about letting me in early. It felt like they were trying to frustrate us into paying more because I'd already paid online. The staff were very rude, and Fab's service was poor too. They lied and wouldn't own the mistake. I wouldn't book with either again.

The hotel isn't anything special, though the price felt somewhat fair. Breakfast was very poor, brought in from outside, and there was no choice. The bathroom commode had no cover. On the plus side, the AC and entertainment were good.
