Hotel Krishna Residency

The restaurant puts real care into preparing every dish on the menu. The food was authentic and delicious.

We paid Rs 1500 per night online, breakfast included, which felt like a fair price for a spacious room and decent food. Breakfast was good too. The hotel is old, so expect a basic room with patchy walls rather than anything luxurious. There was no kettle or tea and coffee in the room, though similar hotels on the same street offer those. Parking was the biggest hassle if you arrive by car. You may find a spot, but the roads are very narrow, and if you pause while parking or turning, buses behind you honk constantly. For the price, it’s a reasonable place for one night in transit. Avoiding peak hours would make the stay easier.

The food was really tasty, especially the hot and sour soup, one of the best I’ve had so far. The starters and breads were good too. It’s a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere for a meal with family or friends.

I stayed here for three months through a corporate booking and even tried referring friends and family, but the staff weren’t supportive. My Samsung charger worth 2000 rupees went missing, and my wife’s beauty products worth 3000 rupees were stolen from the room. The bellboy argued with me over a 20-rupee water bottle. When I raised these issues, hotel management didn’t respond, apart from one gentleman who I believe was one of the owners. The rooms were full of cockroaches and insects. I can’t recommend this place. It was the most horrible hotel experience I’ve ever had.
