OYO 1433 Hotel Five Elements

The location was very accessible, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms are basic but decent, and the complimentary breakfast was decent too. There's no restaurant, though apparently they do in-house cooking and serve food in the rooms. Breakfast is served in a small rooftop room, so this feels more like paying guest accommodation than a hotel. The help staff were very annoying, asking for tips for every job. The hotel boy dropped off our bags and demanded money. People normally tip at checkout, but here it felt like tipping from entry to exit. Housekeeping asked for tips even when they hadn't cleaned the room. It happened even at reception in front of the front-office staff, who didn't seem to mind. I wish staff were trained to deal with guests without pestering them. There's a TV, which was a bonus, but it stopped working again five minutes after staff fixed it. I gave up and went to sleep rather than call them again. I also couldn't get past the note posted in every room saying to secure belongings in locked bags, tell the front office if you don't want housekeeping entering, and that management wasn't responsible for theft. It felt very unaccountable. We book a room expecting to be safe with our things overnight. I still don't understand how it has 4.+ stars on most booking apps. I wasn't happy with my stay. I might have called it value for money without the staff's annoying attitude. Maybe ₹3885 per night had me expecting too much, idk.

Hotel Five Elements in Visakhapatnam is well placed in Ram Nagar, making it easy to get to Ramakrishna Beach and nearby eateries within minutes. Handy for either a leisure or business visit. The rooms were clean, comfortable, well maintained, and had the essentials for a relaxing stay. Staff were friendly and helpful from check-in through departure, and the tasty breakfast and good service added a welcoming feel. Great value and hospitality for a short trip or a longer stay in Vizag.

The rooms are spacious, but housekeeping is really bad. Small cockroaches were crawling around, the sofa upholstery was stained and wet, and the bedsheet was soiled. The washroom racks were broken, and the wash basin was too small for a room of this class.

The mattress was so soft I couldn't sleep properly, and eventually I got back pain. It was the worst bed mattress. I wouldn't stay at this hotel for more than one day.
