I booked for two days through MakeMyTrip, but after one sleepless night in a terrible room, I checked in at 11 PM and left around 4:30-5 AM. Since the booking was already paid, they charged me an extra 850 for checking out early. Rajeshwari lodge said the amount was for that fee, and the OYO team still hadn’t responded about a refund after a day. Google showed a good rating, but my experience was awful. A complete waste of money.
I stopped with my family while travelling by road to bhubaneswar, just to freshen up. The cashier said the hotel was basically used by lovers. They charged us Rs.1000 for freshening up, even though rooms usually cost only 400 to 600.
For hot water, you have to go to another lodge. The TV remote is another story: they say they’ll bring it, but never do, and you can spend half a day chasing them. If you ask for AC, they’ll switch it on and keep the remote themselves. Worst lodge I’ve ever seen.
Booking online was a bad experience, so I think it’s better to check in directly. I stayed in a small single non-AC room. It was kept clean, and the price wasn’t too high.
The washrooms were in especially awful shape, and the rooms weren’t maintained well either. On top of that, the receptionists were very rude to guests. I had a really bad experience here, so think carefully before choosing this property.
