Hotel Sharda Palace

There was no hot water from 6 in the morning until 6 in the evening across the entire area. My bathroom wasn’t clean, the room had a lot of damp, and the switches weren’t working.

Getting to any temple was difficult because the hotel is far out and there were no taxis or autos available. The bathroom water was very lime, the AC switched off 3-4 times a day, and the lights went out 2-3 times daily.

Birds had built a nest inside the room, which was completely unacceptable. The AC was there, but it cooled about as well as a regular cooler. The water tasted extremely salty, almost as if salt had been added on purpose. I ordered food at 10 PM and it didn’t arrive until 1 AM. There were frequent power cuts, and when the electricity went off, even the fan stopped working. A total nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We had to change rooms three times in a stay of just over 15 hours. The washrooms were dirty, with tobacco stains and a disgusting smell, and there wasn’t even a lock. The bedsheets didn’t seem properly cleaned either. The rooms were below standard, and the staff and service made an already bad stay worse. Hotel Sharada Palace is far from Prem Mandir and other important places. In Vrindavan, where many visitors come for temples and spiritual visits, that meant repeated auto or taxi trips and wasted time and money. The electricity kept cutting in and out, including at night, when the fan or lights would stop. The backup or generator didn’t work properly, or staff weren’t willing to turn it on. It disturbed our sleep. Staff behavior was awful. One staff member was quite drunk at night, and there was no solution for basic guest needs. Even after several requests, nobody responded. I wouldn’t recommend staying at Hotel Sharada Palace. There was no comfort, convenience, or proper service. The location was poor, the rooms tiny, there was no washroom lock, and there was no dependable power backup. It wasn’t worth the money. Zero hospitality, and the worst staff.
