The biggest problem was that this didn’t feel suitable for a family stay. We’ve stayed at Treebo properties in Trivandrum, Hyderabad, and Calicut, but Treebo Seagate in Cochin was a letdown. The Google Maps location didn’t match where the hotel actually was. The phone lines didn’t work, and reception took no action even after we reported it several times. The complimentary internet was also out, with staff saying it hadn’t been recharged. Breakfast was average and wasn’t a buffet, unlike at the other Treebo properties we’ve visited.

The location was spot on, and the security guard did his best to find us a good parking spot despite the busy road. The rooms were average, though, and the bathrooms needed a deep clean. Power fluctuations were left unattended, so the facility needs a proper check and an upgrade to Treebo standards. For families, having a bar attached to the property may be a concern.

The room service didn’t respond, and the rooms hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was no Wi-Fi or TV either. They charged me for breakfast, but only chapati was available, and even that wasn’t provided. Terrible service.

The bed sheets had stains, and there were no TV channels. Wi-Fi kept cutting out. The room bathroom smelled bad, and the restaurant bathroom was dirty.

We stopped by this nearby bar for a quick drink during our club meet. It’s small, but decent and air-conditioned, with professional, friendly serving staff. Prices seemed a little higher than at nearby bars. Still, we had a pleasant time, and it’s a calm, relaxed place.
