Wabi Sabi Resort

Wabi Sabi Resort has a beautiful setting, rooms, and ambience, and we had a pleasant stay. The staff were supportive. At night, the outdoor lighting is very dim, and the restaurant needs to be cleaner since we saw cockroaches. The food quality could also be better. Fixing these things would make the experience much better. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff, from housekeeping and room service to the restaurant attendants, deserve full marks. With an experienced hotel management team, they could do even better. The management seems inexperienced, though, and should give more attention to the overall guest experience, including food choices, room hygiene, and interiors, instead of focusing so much on how the property looks outside. We stayed with family at Wabi Sabi on 29th and 30th May 2026, and found the experience very average. The grounds are picturesque and make for great photos, but the room interiors are also very average, with weak wooden furniture. Our broken sofa-cum-bed was repaired by the housekeeper in front of us, but remained unstable. The rooms are very large, yet need two ceiling fans and a higher-capacity AC. Small lizards wandered around the room, which needs to be cleaner and more hygienic. Power fluctuations were a problem throughout our stay. Even the intercom wasn’t working. I had to call the mobile number listed on Google to get someone to fix the line. Restaurant hours are very limited, and the portions are small and expensive. The breakfast spread is extremely limited, there’s no toaster, and dosa isn’t available. The stay felt like a compromise for us. I wouldn’t recommend this place to families who care about the overall experience.

The dinner was good, and the staff were always helpful and courteous. Our stay was nice, comfortable, and satisfying. The rooms have good facilities and views, though there’s no hair dryer. The location is peaceful, and the grounds are nice for an early morning or late night walk. Our son liked the pool, although I found it a bit small. The included breakfast needs work. The number of items is fine, but the taste could be better, and they need new bread toasters. Resorts around Lonavala at similar prices have better breakfasts, so maybe staffing is a factor. The reception area could also be brought up to date.

I couldn’t stay here. After checking in, we left the property 15 minutes later because the tent was extremely warm, then went to another property. The tents are very bad, and the staff weren’t helpful. I’ve stayed at many properties in and around Nashik, and this was the worst resort I’ve seen. I’d advise people not to stay here. There was no zero-star option, so I gave it one star.
