Hotel Prime Inn

The parking area is small, and the bedsheets and pillows weren’t good. We asked for service several times without much help, and the night shift staff didn’t respond properly.

Breakfast choices were limited, but what we had was delicious. The rooms were clean and well kept, and the staff were very helpful. Good service for the price.

The rooms are decent in size, and the washroom was well appointed, though the sheets on our bed had a few holes. Check-in and checkout were smooth. The hotel has parking, but getting there by car can be a bit tricky since it sits in the crowded city centre market area, with the flowers market right outside. Breakfast is complimentary, but they bring it in from outside and have no kitchen. There are no choices, and if you arrive late, the food may have run out. You can’t get tea or coffee otherwise. They also charged us for water bottles that weren’t sealed, so it seemed they were refilling used bottles. Early in the morning, voices in the passageways carry loudly into the rooms.

The room didn’t match the website photos at all. The blankets and covers were filthy, stained, torn, and full of holes. Towels were in such poor shape they looked like they’d been used to mop floors. The washroom was awful too. The toilet took ages to refill, so after one use we had to wait at least 20 minutes, and barely any water came from the sink. Breakfast was supposed to run from 8 to 10 am, but food was gone by 8:40. It was the same every day, just idly and chutney, with no sambar. They limited each person to two idly. When I asked for more, they refused, then complained the next day that we were asking for too much. The staff were rude and disrespectful, didn’t follow requests, and didn’t know any language besides their regional one. They deliberately delayed bringing water, sanitary kits, and even towels. There were no facilities at all. Please don’t trust the online ratings, since I believe staff post positive reviews themselves. This was terrible in every way, especially for people from another state. Please read this and share it so others don’t have to go through the same thing.
