Sharanya Hotel

We were a group of 8 families in town for the CBSE cluster swimming competition, and I stayed here from 03-Dec-2022 to 05-Dec-2022. The helpful room service people, ample parking, good food at the Veg Restaurant, and location close to both the railway station and main bus stand were advantages. But the hotel needs renovation: ceilings were worn and broken. I reported a problem with the ceiling fan, and they didn't repair it. They said they could move me after someone else checked out. A friend who arrived on 02-Dec-2022 had reported the same problem and been moved to another room. They had time to fix it, knew about the issue, and still gave us that room. That says a lot about how much they care about guests' well-being and satisfaction. If your budget is 1000 rupees and you can stay without complaining about missing facilities, you could choose this place.

There was just one service boy, and no menu card. Food was okay, but the quantity was small, which was fine. The ground floor serves vegetarian meals and tiffins, while non-vegetarian food is on the 1st floor. There, the only choices were chicken biryani and mutton biryani, with no other dishes or variety.

The rooms are cramped and the place isn't maintained well, even though the ambience is good. I was surprised to see a swimming pool, but it wasn't working at all. The TV and AC equipment was nice, and the towels weren't very clean. For this city it's good, but it doesn't do enough to impress visitors from outside, especially for the money.

We took 8 rooms yesterday, and this is feedback from 30 people. The hotel was dirty and poorly maintained, and the staff weren't responsible. Even with new management, they don't seem concerned about what customers say. It feels like a family business focused on running the hotel, with no interest in guests like us. Trust me, I don't think they'll ever change their behaviour. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
