The service was good and the food was okay, but I wasn’t satisfied with the meal. I ordered non veg meals and got chicken gravy with three pieces and an omelet, then the rotti arrived very late. The chicken fry I ordered looked like dried gravy extract, and personally I didn’t like it.
The buffet cost Rs 375 for veg and Rs 460 for non veg. Taste was average. Compared with other restaurants in Yelagir it’s better, though against regular hotels I’d call it average.
If you’re reading reviews to decide on accommodation, I highly recommend staying here. The hotel service impressed me, and the staff were kind and quick to respond. I feel the bad reviews are only about the restaurant, and that’s bringing their rating down.
Mr. Thirumalai at the front desk was kind, kudos to him. The hotel sits at Yelagiri’s main junction, opposite boat house road, and the restaurant serves decent BF and dinner options. The place is good, but a few things need attention: rooms still have gum and paint residue that should be cleaned, there’s no kids’ play area, and although a camp fire was set up, nobody was there and there was no music. Breakfast could use more variety and juices.
They kept us waiting an hour for food at the restaurant and then told us to leave. The manager’s behaviour was pathetic. When we asked his name, he refused to tell us and blamed others for his own fault. Very poor staff service. Ask about the wait time before visiting. You can check the feedback form attached. I hope management looks into this and questions the staff involved.
