Hotel Golden Nest

The location worked well for us: the musical fountain Park and boat house are within walking distance, and Perumal temple is easy to reach. There’s an inbuilt mini Park, shops for clothes and essentials nearby, and Dhamu hotel serves veg and non veg. The place is nice for a stay, with an extra bed and mattresses provided at no charge. A double bed room costs a thousand and odd. Service after check-in could be better, as the kids doing housekeeping didn’t seem very interested.

There’s plenty of parking, enough for 10 cars, and several restaurants nearby. The staff were courteous, too. But a group of young guests played loud music and shouted until 2 am, and we couldn’t get proper rest. Staff knew about it, yet the noise still affected our comfort. Better control of noise at night would make a big difference for future guests.

Getting around inside can be tough, especially for older people, since there’s no lift and the stairs are difficult to climb. The property is in the main area and has car parking plus a small garden, but it’s quite old and the rooms aren’t properly maintained.

There’s no room service, but the room rates are nominal. We found the rooms large, nice, neat, and good, and it’s a family friendly hotel that’s easy to get to. Hotels and eateries are all around it. They have a small play area for kids, and the nightly bonfire was really enjoyable. A good stay option in yelagiri.
