Granada Hotel

There are only a few tables with wide city views, and first-time visitors might be unsure where to go since there’s no receptionist. Still, the family and public areas are separated for privacy, and the entrance has a strong security presence. It’s a calm, comfortable place for a family meal, with enough room that it didn’t feel crowded when I visited. The food was prepared well enough, though it may not be the very best. The elegant setting and overall quality make it feel worthy of a five-star rating.

The room layout really disappointed me. It’s small and awkward to use, and the diagonal cross molding on the flat surfaces leaves nowhere to set a suitcase or carry-on.

The location, amenities, and breakfast were all very good. But the female receptionist was extremely rude and seemed to know nothing about hospitality or basic etiquette. Another odd thing: rooms aren’t cleaned daily unless you request it, and even after asking, they might not come until 4 pm. I’ve never run into that at another hotel.

The bathroom water is a major problem. You can’t get a decent shower because it may come out scalding hot or freezing cold. Breakfast is very good, with plenty to choose from, and room service is good too. They also have laundry service. There’s a Turkish bath, but you have to pay extra to use it.
