Bloom Hotel

The room itself was neat and clean, and the room service was excellent. I’d give that 5 stars, but the restaurant service would get 2. It would be helpful if those services could be rated separately. At times I waited as long as 30 minutes for a waiter, even when he didn’t seem busy. I could see him with his back to me, looking at his phone or talking with colleagues instead of attending to guests.

There’s a nice coffee shop inside, and they have valet parking. The staff were nice too. The hotel and room were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. It’s in a very nice location. I’d recommend staying here, and I’m sure people will like it.

The perfume or air freshener in my room was overpowering from the moment I walked in, and it seemed even stronger overnight. At 4:30 a.m. I woke up coughing badly, something that hasn’t happened to me in years. I have asthma, so this environment didn’t feel safe for someone with a respiratory condition. The staff didn’t seem to understand or care how serious it was. If you have asthma, allergies, or sensitivity to strong scents, I’d avoid Bloom Hotel. Hotels shouldn’t cover up air quality problems with heavy fragrance. Clean air should be a basic expectation, especially for guests with health conditions.

Pretty good, but the noise insulation could be better.
