The room was nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Prices seemed reasonable, and the WiFi was strong enough.

The one thing this hotel has going for it is its location on a street where taxis can easily pick you up. I came based on reviews I thought were honest, but it turned out to be one of the worst places I stayed in Iraq. The bathroom was filthy and smelled like bowel movements, and there was no cold water. The TV didn’t work, and the bed looked unmade, with no pillowcases. I first saw the owner yelling on the phone in his office. At the second-floor cafe, we waited an hour just to get machine coffee; the rest of our order never arrived, so we cancelled it and went out. The buffet was another waste of money. Hotels near imam mousa cost only $5-10 more and offer much better rooms and service.

The room was clean, the location was great, and the toilet was decent for what I expected. But the TV didn’t work properly, and traffic noise came through the window constantly. We’d called reception a day before check-in and confirmed a rate, then were quoted more when we arrived. The staff member we spoke to, Yousef, was a Syrian guy and came across as a bit rude during the discussion. Customer service felt unprofessional and untrained. It’s a hotel in Baghdad, anyhow.

There was so much noise that I couldn’t sleep.
