The food is okay, though there aren’t many choices, and they seem to know they have a monopoly, so they don’t care how much they charge. The accommodation complex is inside the airport area and feels quiet and safe. The newer steel and concrete buildings are okay, and the small rooms are acceptable. The A/C is awkwardly positioned above the bed, blowing cold air straight onto you and making the room very cold at night. It’s really expensive, much more than hotels in the city. Avoid the rooms in the containerized camps, which are like labor camps.

There’s plenty to do and space to relax, with a large pool, gym, tennis court, and lovely garden areas. The rooms are modern, very clean, and high quality. The restaurant has a wide selection, with tasty, healthy food as well as the usual less healthy options.

The room was nice, and supper was very tasty. It’s a large, pleasant hotel area with a swimming pool, though finding the room was too difficult. During the dust storm, the staff didn’t seem prepared to welcome guests, and dust was all over the room, including the floor.

Whenever I’m in Baghdad, usually 4-6 times a year, this is where I stay now. I’ve tried the other two options, and for working at the airport this is the best of them. The rooms, food, and internet are good, and the open-air areas help me switch off from work, even in +45 degree heat. The room’s air conditioning works well. You feel secure here and when transferring to other airport areas, and transfers are available anywhere in the airport area. The shower is a bit too small for bigger people, and they don’t accept credit cards. There are more glamorous, fashionable hotels in the city, but for an airport work stay, I prefer this one.
