I’ve stayed here on a couple of business trips. The rooms are fine, nothing special, and breakfast doesn’t have many options, though it isn’t bad.

I paid about 300,000 Iraqi dinar ($250) for one night, but when a friend came to visit, the hotel said he couldn’t stay in my room unless I paid another 90.000 Iraqi dinar. Otherwise, we could sit together in the lobby for free. Reception told me they don’t allow guest visitors, and when I asked for the manager, he came but didn’t resolve it. He said those were the hotel rules. This made me question staying at hotels in Baghdad again, and I feel it affects tourism in the whole city. The lobby was clean, but my room was disappointing. The air conditioning didn’t cool, the furniture was very old, and my balcony had no chair or small table. The TV screen was small. The hotel needs to maintain its rooms better and train staff to handle these situations.

They play music really loudly every Tuesday and Thursday, from 21:00 until 24:00. Staying here will definitely ruin your rest. Don’t stay here!

The hotel is renovating throughout, and drilling and other work went on from 8am until 2Am. It was impossible to sleep properly with all that noise. The rooms are very old and need a lot of improvement. The AC was off for all three days of my visit. When I asked them to turn it on, they said management had decided it would stay off for more months because it was winter. This was in March 2025, week 2, when the temperature was 29 degrees.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet, though the windows don’t block sound. Breakfast was crowded and service very slow, so leave yourself plenty of time. It’s probably the best option in Baghdad for lack of other good choices. The facilities are outdated, but okay.
