Inter Hotel

The Baghdad international exhibition had filled most hotels, so this was our last option. The room was disgusting, and we couldn’t even lie on the sheets. We covered the bed with spare clothes to sleep. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, there were no towels or toothbrushes, and the bathroom smelled awful. I would’ve been better off sleeping in my car than paying for this. One of the worst rooms I’ve ever seen. Not recommended at all.

The rooms weren’t clean, and the atmosphere was bad. When we asked for fresh sheets, staff handed them over and told us to change them ourselves. Our room cleaning consisted of someone emptying the bin and leaving. There were no bathroom towels either. Service was terrible, and I wouldn’t recommend spending money to stay here.

The room didn’t match what I expected for $70, even after bargaining, so I wouldn’t recommend this place. The thick concrete walls blocked both the WiFi and cell service in our room. I also asked reception about laundry and was charged $20. Other hotels I’d stayed at in Iraq had done laundry for free, and since I hadn’t asked the price first, I felt scammed. Baghdad has much better options.

The room was spacious and decent, but the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. The furniture is very old and delicate, so be careful in both the room and bathroom. Things could fall on you, and the door locks are fragile too. I don’t understand how this is rated a 3- or 4-star hotel.
