The lobby was pleasant, the AC in the rooms was strong, the curtains blocked the early sun, and the staff were well dressed. It's near the airport but far from Erbil center. The price isn't high, but the maintenance quality is low for what it costs. On my second stay there was no toilet seat, and on my first, they gave me a key to an already occupied room. One electrical outlet didn't work, and the bright fluorescent lighting was harsh on my eyes; there should be a dimmer or other lighting options. There was too much hallway noise at night. Other guests should behave, but the doors need better soundproofing.

There was nothing positive about this place. The breakfast was poor, just some watermelon. The location couldn't be worse, far from everything except the airport, right in the middle of the Christian quarters where people go to drink and make noise. The AC couldn't be controlled, and I was freezing. Water leaked in the bathroom and pooled on the floor. There was no sound insulation, so I heard the busy road all night and noise from inside the hotel. Reception gave other guests a key to my room, and they walked in while I was in bed. Someone knocked at my door at 11pm, and by 3am guests had arrived and were socializing loudly in the corridor.

It's a good hotel in general and not bad to stay at, but they need to improve ventilation and the separation between smoking and non-smoking floors. I'm not a smoker, and I don't like smelling smoke. I hope they fix this issue soon.

I stayed for one night. The good things were that it was quiet, relatively cheap, and in a nice location. The downsides: the bathroom door had no lock, the room was a little dismal, and breakfast was really poor. Some pieces of loaf had mold on them. There's a pool, but it feels really stuffy, and the internet was slow.
