The staff were so polite and professional, and they really made me feel welcome. My room was comfortable and kept very clean. I had a wonderful stay at the Copthorne Hotel Baranan in Sarchinar, with excellent service from beginning to end. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Slemani.

Good breakfast and clean rooms, though the rooms do feel a little old. Outside noise kept me from sleeping well, and my room wasn't ready until 3:15 even though check-in was at 2:00. The location was okay, but there are better nearby choices for the price.

The spacious rooms had clean, comfortable beds, but the stay still fell short. We had two Deluxe rooms for four people, and both were short on bathroom supplies. Each room had towels for just one person, and they weren't sealed, so I couldn't tell if they'd been freshly washed. The toilets also had no sanitary seal to indicate they'd been properly cleaned. One bathroom had a blocked drain, which made it inconvenient to use. For around 95 USD per room, finding just two small bottles of water in the minibar also felt unprofessional. Missing basics and the hygiene concerns made the experience unsatisfactory.

I've returned to the Copthorne Hotel in Sulaymaniyah several times, and each visit has been great. The hotel is easy to reach, near key areas, and has a peaceful, comfortable atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the service, so it feels like good value in the city. The staff are the highlight for me. They're friendly, polite, and always willing to help with whatever's needed. I'd recommend it to people visiting for work or tourism. It's still one of my favorite places to stay in Sulaymaniyah.
