Ramada by Wyndham Sulaymaniyah Sali Street

I stayed for seven days, and the rooms I saw were spacious and very clean. I really appreciated the cleaning staff. The location is perfect, and the hotel could be great if it sorted out some problems. The service was mediocre at best, whether at reception, with maintenance, or in the restaurant. A couple of incidents showed that staff need to remember this is supposed to be a five-star hotel. The food was worse. At least 10 of us got food poisoning from it. The breakfast buffet was recycled day after day, and by our third day our stomachs couldn’t take it anymore. Several people had stomach pain, vomiting, and other severe symptoms, so after that none of us touched the food. The rooms also need regular maintenance. Two friends and I each changed rooms because of AC trouble, leaks, or broken balcony doors. And the mixed male and female spa is absolutely disgusting and not suitable for our community. I wish they would separate the spaces and the times it’s used.

Sleeping there was a nightmare. My room was very dirty, and nobody came to clean it. When I asked the Manager, he loudly and rudely said the room had been on do not disturb that morning, so they weren’t cleaning it now. I hadn’t put the sign on the door. I’ll never book this hotel myself again.

The room iron ruined my shirts, and getting a response took far too long. The pillows were hard, and there was no sound insulation. I could hear everything happening around the hotel while trying to sleep. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We held a graduation ceremony here, and everything was great, from the timing and food to the sound system. Thank you.
