We booked at the last minute, but the host was kind and accommodating, replied promptly, and even let us in at 10:30pm. The Viking Apartment is adorable, modern, and cozy, in a lovely area. It was all extremely clean and well cared for. The kitchen had all the dishes we needed, plus a sink, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and kettle. The shower was hot, the towels clean, and there was even a hair dryer. Such an incredible find, one of the best places I’ve stayed.

After hiking all day, we were glad we could wash our clothes. We booked the egils Studio Apartment at the last minute, just 2-3 hours before arriving, and had a great stay. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. Thanks, Maja, for making it so relaxed 😀

We’ve had to postpone our Iceland trip until 2021, but Egils Studio Apartments showed us real compassion during this uncertain time. We’re grateful, and we’ll definitely stay there in 2021. Thank you.

The guide in the apartment, with suggestions for food and activities, was really useful. It’s easy to find a parking spot nearby even though there’s no parking on site. Bars and restaurants are all around for dinner, keeping local hours, of course. The apartment itself is functional and in good condition, though it only has two burners and no extractor fan, so they suggest opening a window to air it out.

Although we had booked through Booking.com eight months ahead, the host stopped responding three weeks before our stay. I tried repeatedly by message, text, email, and phone about getting into the apartment, but never received the safe key or code. With no reply, I had to find another hotel at the last minute. The host was unreliable.
