The refund request through hotels.com was denied, after we paid €300 a night for a room that should have cost €30 at most. The whole stay felt unsafe, filthy, and dishonest. Our so-called family room had hair on the bathroom wall, stains, and a smell of old dust. There were no shower walls, so when we used it, water flooded the bathroom and room. Staff at the neighboring hotel came to clean up, but one woman seemed annoyed and claimed flooding was impossible, even though it had just happened. Nobody is based at Post Hotel, so we had to check in at the hotel next door using a strange code. The building is a peeling red box, dusty inside, and the online photos looked completely different. I suspect the reviews are fake or inflated, and the listing is misleading and almost scam-like. We think we got the worst room, though the whole place seemed bad. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. Run, just run. Never again.
