I loved the small, basic room with its own bathroom, and I’ve already booked the exact same one for my next stay. It was spotless and comfortable, and the building’s location is so convenient. I didn’t use the shared facilities, but had a look and they seemed clean and tidy.

The view was one of the best of our trip, and having a nice kitchen was useful. But I woke up to mouse droppings on the bed beside my husband, and hearing little critter noises at night made it hard to sleep. The pillows and comforters also seemed dirty, even though their covers were clean. The covers didn’t zip shut, so you could see the state of the blankets inside. Clean bathrooms, the little cafe next door, and the easy walk to the waterfall helped make the stay feel somewhat worthwhile.

The rooms are small but clean, and the bathroom is shared. The waterfall is just a short walk away.

I had the studio-style room, which was nice for having a private bathroom. The bed, though, felt like a two- or three-inch memory foam pad you’d bring camping. Meanwhile, the guests in the hostel-style rooms seemed to get proper mattresses.
