Glamping & Camping

There are traditional pitches and small cabins, which have heat and electricity. The shared kitchen is open around the clock, and the bathrooms and shower stalls were clean. Check-in was a little messy because nobody is always at the front desk. The views over the natural area and nearby golf course are amazing, with good access to hiking trails. We even had a few sheep grazing around the cabins.

The site has a heated dining area open 24/7, a fully equipped kitchen, free hot showers, and even a hairdryer. It can get windy, but the large rocks and little hills around the area give you places to tuck your tent behind. Such a nice spot for camping!

The cabins sit beneath a big mountain, and the climb up was rewarded with excellent views. Check-in was difficult with my out-of-country phone, since I had no service. We paid extra for linens, but one bag smelled like used clothes. We exchanged it, though I was still a little nervous about using them. There was a small blood stain on the wall by the bed, and the floors were very dusty with lots of hair. The fridge was unplugged when we arrived and was barely cold by the time we left the next day. It’s fine for a night on the island, but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

A really cool way to camp on the island. We booked one of the little huts, though the site also works well for a camper, van, or tent. There are showers, toilets, and an indoor kitchen and dining space. Don’t miss the hike up the hill by the playground, the views are great.
