Finna Hotel

The coffee was a highlight, thanks to the Delonghi machine 😀. Breakfast was really tasty too, and the owner was very kind, even offering bacon and scrambled eggs. It’s a cozy spot that works well if you’re traveling on a budget.

We were there in January 2026, and they were open. The host was kind, and the restaurant had coffee, tea, and an amazing view. Our room was modern, comfortable, and sparkling clean, in a newly restored place. A perfect stay, and one we can recommend.

The town is nice, especially if you’re using it as a base to explore western Iceland, and there aren’t many hotels around. Fina hotel has a hostel-like feel, though the room itself felt more like a hotel room. We stayed two nights, and our room wasn’t cleaned; the two original towels weren’t replaced with fresh ones either. The internet didn’t work. The host was friendly, though not very talkative. Breakfast was simple but enough. All in all, a bit pricey for what you get.

The room at Finna Hotel was clean, smelled fresh, and had a nice view of the bay. We had a great night there, and I’m so glad we found it. We’d been meant to stay at another Guesthouse, but after finding bed bugs and cockroaches there, we had to look for somewhere else late at night. Kathy at Finna Hotel helped us out when we were close to sleeping in the car. We’re very grateful for her kindness and hospitality.
