The room was in a container, but it was very well fitted out. We stayed in one of the containers with a private bathroom, and couldn’t use the kitchen unless we rented the whole house. Ask the owner before arriving if access to the kitchen matters to you. The way into the lodge comes out in the middle of a bend, which feels a bit dangerous.

We slept really well here and would come back. It’s a sheep farm with lots of sheep, and the owners take good care of them. The owner makes the local breakfast bread herself. The porch can be closed when the sheep are outside the barn, so give them a call and they’ll help. The owner is so energetic and has so much to tell you that she almost forgets to breathe, but she means well. A nice place to stay near Hvitsekur.

Our spacious room looked out over the fields and farm, with the countryside all around. The host was super friendly and made us a wonderful breakfast with local produce. I really enjoyed staying at Guesthouse Nedra-Vatnshorn.
