The hot tub was just right on those cold winter nights. The house had everything we needed and then some, including two chargers since we’d forgotten ours. Perfect for a quiet weekend surrounded by nature, definitely recommend it!!!

We found the cabins modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with big windows looking out over the landscape. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and it felt private enough to really unwind. Rosa was friendly and helpful, and check-in was easy. Svartaborg also works well as a base for Mývatn, Dettifoss, and Husavík. A comfortable place with impressive scenery.

The views were stunning, and the apartment felt like a proper home away from home. We had a great time in the hot pot too. We stayed two nights and were genuinely sad to leave. We only didn’t extend because we’re trying to drive the whole ring road on a short trip. We’ll be back.

The floor-to-ceiling windows made it possible to watch the night sky from inside, even from bed or while sitting in the cabin. It’s a great little place in nature, just the right size for one person or a couple. Everything was well stocked for cooking, including the essentials, and there’s a bbq grill, a comfortable bed, and a wonderful hot pot.

We spent five nights in the cottage and felt at home the whole time. It was beautifully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen, lots of amenities, a great bathroom, and a hot tub. The wide valley view was fantastic. Húsavík is about a 20-minute drive away, and Lake Myvatn takes around 40 minutes. The cottage was breathtaking. If it’s available, book it. You won’t regret it, I highly recommend it!
