Saltvík Farm Guesthouse

The horseback rides were a highlight, with incredible landscapes all around. We weren't experienced riders, but the guides found horses suited to our level and riding style and made us comfortable. They listened to feedback, though we mostly stayed quiet taking in the views. More experienced riders were on the tour too, and some days guides took them on longer rides while the rest of us newbies had more suitable rides. The meals included in the tour were delicious. I came with my family for the four-day "Saltvik Comfort" horse tour, and the rooms were clean and cozy on a serene, picturesque farm. Our flights to the farm were delayed several times, but the staff kept in touch, made sure the shuttle from the Akureyri airport was there when we landed, and even offered a late evening ride after we finally arrived at 9PM local time. Everyone went above and beyond to make us welcome. Claire, Magda, and Chantel were knowledgeable, helpful, hilarious, kind, and lovely guides. They made the experience amazing. We'll absolutely come back the next time we're in Iceland.

We had an outstanding panorama from our room, and in the morning we had a lot of fun feeding the horses with the staff. They were very nice and helpful. It's a great spot for visiting Husavik while staying out in nature, away from light pollution.

A lovely B&B in a beautiful, remote spot, with nice rooms and a friendly, family-like atmosphere. There's free wifi and a kitchen guests can use to cook for themselves. Breakfast was good. Recommended.

We really enjoyed the beautiful setting and the pleasant room and shared spaces. Breakfast had lots of choices.
