Holt Inn

We were lucky enough to see the northern lights and about a million stars from the hot tub. The whole property is set in a gorgeous, peaceful valley. My family of four had a lovely stay at the Holt Inn. Our room was spacious and clean, and the hostess Cindy was warm, welcoming and knew the area well. My 2.5 and 4.5 year olds loved her.

The service was the standout for us. Cindi was INCREDIBLE and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. She had loads of advice about the area, things to do, when and where to go, hiking routes, even which bakery has the best cinnamon roll. Catarina was lovely too. The Inn is a simple, comfortable place, with basic rooms and common areas that were all very clean and comfortable. There’s a microwave and communal refrigerator in the dining area, and a basket of cookies in the evenings. Breakfast is a buffet with the usual cold cuts, yogurt, cereal, cheese, bread and some cakes. They’re keen to provide alternatives for guests with dietary needs or allergies. We arrived late, and Cindi called a neighbor who sometimes cooks dinner for Inn guests. That’s hit or miss, so we were lucky. If you want a quiet area and kind people who give impeccable service, this is the place.

The hot tub in the nearby woods was a highlight, with warm water, a peaceful setting and a lovely view. We were pleasantly surprised by this countryside hotel, from its services and atmosphere to its location. It faces a small grove, sits among beautiful gardens full of birds, and is a short walk from Flattery’s center. The exterior didn’t make much of an impression at first, but inside it’s newly renovated and tastefully decorated. The owners also run a nearby farm and have made the place feel cosy and thoughtfully put together. Our deluxe room was spacious and comfortable, with a garden view and a modern, fully functional bathroom. Breakfast downstairs was simple but satisfying, and the staff were kind and welcoming. There’s also a large common room that’s great for reading or relaxing. A charming, relaxing stay, and much better than we expected!

Beautiful nature, and a great escape that’s still close to town. My wife, kids and I had a great time here. 10/10, highly recommend.
